Popcorn and cereals are considered by us as a healthy option for lunch hours, however, only benefits to their higher content of fiber and complex carbohydrates, but recent research shows that the popcorn is also an unexpected source of antioxidants.
As many grains, popcorn is rich in polyphenols, and have almost the same as possessing the fruits and vegetables. But among several snacks analyzed popcorn are the winners in the level of antioxidants.
Polyphenols reduce the risk of cardiovascular and degenerative diseases, protecting each cell from free radical damage, so if we choose popcorn for lunch hours, not only will use its fiber, but its powerful antioxidants.
However, to enjoy greater benefits you should eat popcorn with little added sugar, no salt and no butter. antioxidant are very powerful and can aid weight loss and well being. This is why I eat lots of food that contain antioxidants. What do you think? Am i just being nerotic?
