If pornography routinely showed men and women enjoying sex as equals, this essay might be more convincing. Unfortunately, much of the pornography that depicts women in sexual situations is not aimed at women, but at men. It tends to show women with unrealistic body types in a position of subservience… in other words, “passive, inert, and purely for the pleasure of men.” How would greater exposure to such images empower women?
